Patriot (PAC-3) missile interceptor defense system
Description: Patriot Advanced Capability (PAC-3) is an advanced version of the U.S. Army’s MIM-104 Patriot designed primarily for missile defense. Developed by Lockheed Martin, the PAC-3 uses a “hit-to-kill” interceptor that destroys incoming targets by direct impact rather than a large explosive warhead. It is designed to intercept ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and aircraft and has been deployed by the United States and several allied countries.
